Born Sophie Maupu, Sophie Marceau grew up far away from studios spots until her 14th year. Back
then, she was living in the Paris suburbs (Gentilly) and her father was a truck driver. At that time, she

faces for a teenagers movie called Boum, La (1980). This movie was a success. She played in Boum 2,
La (1982) then she bought back her contract with Gaumont when she was sixteen years old for one
milion of french francs. Awards: - Cesar of Best Feminine Hope for La Boum II in 1983. - Elected
